Beautiful, vivid natural colors, wonderful gifts gathered from nature and the elements. Extracted from plants and the EARTH, mixed with WATER, warmed with FIRE, dried in open AIR, everything is made with LOVE: love for beauty, nature, the environment, artisanal labors and centuries-old experience.
Magnificent Mongolian cashmere (70%), enriched with 30% Chinese silk is spun into soft and cozy yarn in Italy, then dyed with natural pigments in vats of alpine waters over wood fired coals, and dried in the air of the Ticinese mountains in the Verzasca Valley, in Switzerland.
The color mixes are infinite. Created to last, our colorings are 100% natural, using mordants, pigments and fixatives that nature offers us.
After dyeing, what is re-assimilated to the Verzasca River is a poetry of colors that returns to water and earth, after passing through fire and air.
Each yarn is unique, has its own special shade, such that no two garments will ever be precisely the same. And colors may evolve in time through the magic of exposure to the atmosphere, water and the sun.
We always recommend washing your outfits by hand at a maximum of 85°F-30C° or in machine on the Wool-Delicate setting, always at 85°F-30C° or less. Dry over a flat surface in ambient air in the shade, or tumble machine dry on the Wool-Delicate setting.
